Why Soludos®?
At Soludos we love the summer. And when we were growing up espadrilles meant the start of the summer. We would buy a bunch of pairs and live in them. Now we are grown up we want more people to make them an essential summer staple.

What is special about Soludos®?
While Soludos are very much classic espadrilles we have worked hard to make these standards anything but standard. We are fanatical about the type of jute that we use - not too hard, and not too soft - and this makes them amazingly comfortable.  Many of the versions out there don't even have a left or right but just one shape. Well we have gone for a left and a right and also specific men's and women's versions.  We have spent considerable time on our fabrics and fabric patterns to ensure they are a more comfortable and stylish fit on your foot.  We do not compromise on the quality of our 100% cotton fabrics which let your foot breathe more easily.  We also use inner linings to give your foot added comfort. Finally we use a full rubber cover for the sole that helps in case of a rain storm.  And don't even get us started on Flip Flops!

Are Soludos® just for Summer?
Well it depends where you live. By summer we mean lots of sun and not much rain. So if that is you all year then by all means have at it 365 days a year. But otherwise it might be best to keep them for the good days.

What does Soludos® mean?
Soludos are a Mediterranean tradition so when we named the company we were inspired by Salud (Cheers) and Sol (Sun). Cheers to the Summer!

How do I know they are genuine Soludos®?
Only genuine Soludos have the registered trademark sign on the label. Look on the topline for the name and know you get the comfort.

Can you explain the recent price increase of Soludos®?
Due to circumstances way outside our control (and we can barely control ourselves never mind the global commodity markets) the price of both Jute, the eco-friendly fabric that makes up our soles, and cotton, used in our various uppers, have increased significantly since we started Soludos. In response we have had to raise our prices, from their very low base. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality espadrilles and ensuring that Soludos continues to be a summer essential. That means making a shoe that both lasts and one that hits a great price that you can stock up on. We are working very hard on maintaining that balance.

NOTE: We do not permit changes in shipping address once an order has generated a tracking number and has shipped out.

What forms of payment does Soludos.com accept?

Soludos.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Does Soludos ship to P.O. Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses?

Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses.

How much does shipping and handling cost?

Shipping and Handling cost will be made clear at checkout and will vary depending on where your order is being shipped and the type of shipping chosen (if there is a choice).

What shipping options should I choose?

For orders within the United States, FedEx Ground will typically take 3-5 business days depending on location. For West Coast residents, you can expect a faster delivery time. 

Orders to Hawaii and Alaska can only be sent via USPS Priority, and will typically take 5-10 business days.

What about International shipping?

For International orders we have tried to find the best rates for you, which in some cases means it may take a little time before you are wearing your Soludos. We use USPS Priority International for Mexico and the UK (both typically 5-10 business days).

With all our delivery methods shipping will only cost an incremental $2.00 per shoe for each additional pair of Soludos ordered.

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

Soludos does not process or ship orders on Saturday or Sunday. Expedited orders will ship the following business day. Allow up to 2 business days for processing of orders. The day of pick up does not count as a day in the shipping time.

We supply a tracking number for FedEx shipments so you can follow your order at www.fedex.com. If you experience delays please contact info@soludos.com and we can look into your order. Having order numbers as the subject of the email will help to provide faster service.

What is Pre-order?

Unfortunately, we do not have a Pre-Order system at the time. We will keep you posted on this with updates as we have them.

Shipping Liability:

Soludos ships all domestic orders via FedEx and all international orders via United States Postal Service (USPS). All domestic orders sent via FedEx will be issued their order tracking number. International orders are not issued a tracking number unless the customer requests insurance and delivery confirmation. If that request is made before order is dispatched a tracking number will be issued. Soludos is not liable for items lost, stolen or damaged in the mail and upon delivery of merchandise to the carrier, and you will assume the risk of loss and title for the merchandise. You are responsible for any additional shipping charges and fees incurred from customs clearance including any duties and additional taxes.

Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

In an effort to get our shipments to our customers as quickly as possible, your order cannot be cancelled or modified. However, we do try to be as accomodating as possible. If you need to contact us concerning changes to a new order, or order cancellation, this should be done by emailing info@soludos.com within 30 minutes of placing the order, but this does not guarantee we'll be able to do so. Also note that customer service hours are M-F 9am - 5pm EST.

Do Soludos® fit true to size?

If you have purchased Soludos in the past in European (EU) sizes, here are handy charts for converting to your new US size.

Soludos espadrilles for women fit true to size and are available in US sizes. If you are a half size, we recommend sizing up to the nearest whole size.

Soludos sandshoes for women fit true to size and are available in US sizes. If you are a half size, we recommend sizing down to nearest whole size.


Soludos for men are available in US sizes and fit true to size. If you are a half size, we recommend sizing up to the nearest whole size.

Please try your Soludos® on a carpeted surface (rather than a beach) to keep them as clean as possible until you know they are the correct size. We do not accept returns or size exchanges on shoes that show wear or use.


Caring for your Soludos®

How long do Soludos® Last?

Soludos® are perfect for the summer (or the lucky places that are always summer) but they won’t last forever. They age and change and finally die.

It’s the price you pay for their natural construction – a Jute Sole and cotton upper rather than rubber or plastic.  We like to think it of it as part of their charm.

How can I keep them longer?

Soludos® don’t do well in the rain. They are not great for activity. You can keep them in good shape longer by keeping them dry, especially the soles. A damp sponge can help remove some dirt from the cotton upper.


International Ordering

Can I order from Soludos.com if I live outside of the U.S.?

Soludos ships online orders to the United States, Great Britain, Mexico and Australia. International customers are responsible for all shipping, duty and taxes associated with the importation of all merchandise. ALL INTERNATIONAL SALES ARE FINAL.

How much does shipping and handling cost on international orders?

Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout. Cost will vary depending on the number of items purchased, where your order is being shipped and the type of shipping chosen. Duty and tax fees may also be applied when your order reaches customs and customers are respsonsible for the payment of such charges. Please review prices before placing your order.

**Sale/Clearance and Discount/Promo Codes**

 ALL SALE ORDERS ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED.  PROMO CODES CANNOT BE USED ON SALE ITEMS. Orders placed on a date prior to the start date of a sale or promotion cannot be honored at the sale, or discounted price. Sales and discount/promo codes are only applicable to orders placed within the duration of the running sale or promotion.

Exceptions for returns/exchanges may be upheld in special circumstances: i.e. manufacturer defect, not for regular exchanges (needing a smaller or larger size). Email info@soludos.com for more details.

If you have a Soludos account and would like to return / exchange your order, please log into your account, view order and press, "Click here to Return Item(s)" and follow the instructions.

What is your exchange/return policy?

**ALL SALE ORDERS ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED. Exceptions may be upheld in special circumstances. Email info@soludos.com for more details**

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied upon receiving your order, you have 30 days from the original transaction date to return the UNWORN ITEMS for a refund or exchange (of the same style in a different size). This does not affect your Statutory Rights. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping costs back to Soludos. If you ask for an exchange we will pay to post any goods we send back out to you. If you ask for a refund you will receive the full amount for the goods (postage and packing will not be refunded).

In the case of exchanges Soludos does not guarantee that the same style in a different size will be available. In that case you will have an option to choose a different style or change to a return.

Please follow the correct process (based on date of purchase outlined above)  and include the completed form along with all merchandise in the original packaging to the address listed below.  If you’ve requested an exchange, we’ll process it as quickly as possible upon receipt.  You will receive a confirmation email when processed.  Refunds are also processed shortly after receipt.

Return via USPS Priority Mail - this option requires you to re-pack your goods and take them to your local Post Office where you will need to request to send the goods back using the relevant service.

Return via FedEx Ground - this option requires you to re-pack your goods and take them to your local FedEx pick-up location. 

Whichever option you choose – don’t forget to include your returns form so we know who the parcel is from! The form can be downloaded here.

In order to return or exchange you should verify that your order complies with the following:

  • The shoes are unworn.
  • The shoes must be sent back in the same condition in which they were received. In the case you no longer have the original packaging it should be substituted by one of the same size.
  • The shoes must be delivered to the return address given (written on packaging) within 30 days from the date sent with your name, address, contact number, pick ticket number and whether you would like a refund or exchange (please state what size you would like to exchange for).

If these conditions are met, Soludos® will refund the cost of the goods except the initial delivery cost. If the return or exchange takes place due to a manufacturing fault or quality defect by Soludos®, the total amount of the shoes, including postage will be refunded.

Please note it may take up to a week to process a refund or exchange. In the case of authorized returns, the amount paid will be refunded.

International Returns Policy

Right now at Soludos® we are not able to return any goods purchased outside the United States.  As such, any purchase of goods is final.  We are reviewing this policy now, as it is important for us to know that our customers are entirely happy with their Soludos, and for us to be in a position to address this.  If you have any questions, please email returns@soludos.com.

Account Information

As part of our recent upgrade to a new website we have updated the account system. You can login via the top right hand corner of the site. You will be able to see your details and orders.

NOTE: Pre 17th April Accounts. Your address details have transferred over. However you will need to set up a new password - follow the instructions from the Login Page. 

NOTE: Purchases as Guest. If you did not create an account with you order you will not be able to view account / your order or make changes. Please email info@soludos.com and we can help you with any questions.

You can view your orders under "orders". To note - Shipment Pending means the order has been processed and is not a tracking/ changing element. Please contact us on info@soludos.com if you believe an order is taking longer than expected and we will look into it.

You can change your password under "edit" or request a new password to be sent to email address if you have forgotten it.

Where are Soludos® manufactured?

Soludos® are manufactured in China. We have sourced the best quality jute for maximum comfort and breathability.

How does Soludos® ensure its manufacturers adhere to human rights standards?

We require that the factories operate under sound labor conditions, pay fair wages and follow local labor standards. A code of conduct is signed by all factories. Our production staff routinely visit these factories to make sure they are maintaining these working standards. We also have third parties audit the factories at least once a year to ensure they adhere to proper labor regulations and working conditions.
