Right around the time that warm summer days began, Pier57 opened its doors on NYC’s West Side Highway as a cultural hub and local hangout. We have to say, we were a little skeptical when we heard of the space’s “Magic Carpet” – a collection of 36 shipping containers suspended from the air. The space has turned into a great gathering spot for brands, locals and summer tourists.
As part of this project, we set up a mobile beach shack in a repurposed 1940s Citroen van and transported a dose of the Mediterranean to the formerly abandoned pier. You’ll find us there alongside a selection of summer essentials including our classic espadrilles, beach totes and kikoy wraps and beach towels.
Pier57 has just upped the ante again with Pier Pressure, a group of 10 diverse artists who have transformed the floor of the 100,000 sq. ft. space into a mosaic of clashing and complimentary art installations. Be sure to stop by and check it out, and Instagram a photo of your favorite art for a chance to win a free meal at Pier 57!
